HAVE YOU PROTECTED YOUR YOUNG ADULTS?

Safeguard Your Young Adults

It’s summer, when thoughts turn to vacations, travel, and time in the sun. It’s also the right time to look out for the young adults in your life. Do you have a child or grandchild who has recently turned 18?

College, travel, and internships all come with adventure and unpredictability. If your child is in an accident or gets sick, you want to be able to help them. You can’t if you’re blocked by red tape. Find out more about the five legal documents every young adult needs on the JM LAW estate and legacy planning blog.

Being a parent doesn’t stop when your child turns 18. Your legal ability to protect your child shouldn’t stop then, either. To ensure your child is legally protected, call us at (703) 956-5738 or contact us. We’ll schedule a 15-minute discussion to answer your questions and start the process.

To help get your child on the best path, forward them a copy of our young adult checklist.

July Changes In Estate & Tax Law

The JM LAW team monitors changes in estate and tax laws every day so that you don’t have to. What we expect to see in July: a final version of the budget reconciliation or tax bill, officially known as the “One Big Beautiful Bill” or OBBB. The Senate is expected to vote on it soon. Then, the bill will be sent back to the House of Representatives for a vote on the reconciled version before it’s signed into law.

We’ll publish key changes on social media right after this happens. The easiest way to see the updates: connect with Jessica on LinkedIn. We’ll follow up with a more detailed analysis on the JM LAW blog.

We are committed to keeping you up-to-date on changes in estate law. Read our blog for more information about:
